When the GoFISHn site launched in December 2009, it offered open membership for anglers and small businesses that wanted to publish their fishing images, video and reports on a platform highly optimized for Google and Facebook. In 2011, the site saw more than 1.3 million visitors and is on track to more than double that in 2012.
In December 2010, the company launched GoHUNTn, using the same platform as GoFISHn.
The GoFISHn Facebook page has more than 190,000 fans and continues to grow. The GoHUNTn Facebook page has 58,000 fans.
In late March 2012, GoFISHn launched its first iPad app, The Year in Fishing, which is a collection of the best posts on GoFISHn in 2011 on subject covering the best fishing guides to record fish, celebrity, danger, crime, environment and much more. In April 2012, the site shifted from a custom technology platform to a Word Press site, while preserving most of the content and member profiles. Most of the old site’s urls were successfully re-directed to the new site. A detailed account of these changes in on our GoSPORTn blog. – April 2012
