A snow storm hit us last night, but that did not keep me and my wife Heather off the ice!
Here's what we used:
Crappies: Northland Fishing Tackle Bro Bug Fire Ant with a maggot
Bluegill/Sunfish: Northland Fishing Tackle Bro Bug Grasshopper with maggots
Walleye: Northland Fishing Tackle Live Forage Jigging Spoon in Redtail tipped with a minnow Head
We also were using Strikmeaster Bait Pucks for Maggots, Strikemaster Lazer Pro Auger,
Also from Northland Fishing Tackle 2-pound test Bionic line for panfish, and 5-pound test Bionic Line for walleyes.
For live bait, we were using the Frabill 1404 Min-O-Life container.
For rods, we were using the Frabill Bro Series 27-inch Quick Tip, which I helped design.
To keep us warm during the snow storm. Heather was wearing a Frabill Icesuit, and I was wearing the Frabill Snosuit. Both of us wore Frabill Task Gloves, which are very warm and fit well, and comfortable to fish in.
The Frabill R-2 Tec Thermal Pro helped immensly in the high winds yertsrday and kept us very warm.
For imaging, we used a Humminbird 385ci with 55/combo (pictured with my big crappie) with the new Humminbird Lakemaster maps to to help find our spot, and get us off the lake in the snow storm.
