Coastal Georgia has some of the best red drum fishing in the world and for the most part it's a well kept secret. Schooly size redfsih from 2 to 15 pound can be found year around with the winter months being best for sight fishing low tides and big schools. Spring through fall offers great flood tide fishing for tailing redfish in the grass with low tide fishing still strong.
Large spawning "bull reds" invade the beaches and inshore waters in the fall and spring to spawn and are great fun to catch but remember these fish are spawning so handle them with great care.
