Limit

A restriction on the size or number of fish that can be taken, caught, or killed. Limit refers to regulations that have been established, usually with reference to recreational fishermen but in some cases also to commercial fishermen. Regulations pertaining to numbers of fish are called bag, creel, daily, and possession limits; regulations pertaining to size are called minimum length, total length, or slot limits.
