More About Pomme de Terre Reservoir fishing
Location: 37.871, -93.329

A 7,820-acre Corps of Engineers flood-control and recreation reservoir on the Pomme de Terre River, this lake is situated in western Missouri south of Truman Lake and northeast of Lake Stockton, and about 60 miles from Springfield. It has good populations of largemouth bass, white bass, crappie, bluegills, and catfish, and Missouri’s best population of muskellunge. Despite being small, Pomme de Terre has been ranked among Missouri’s best bass fishing waters, and it has had less angling pressure than this state’s better-known and larger reservoirs. Fall and winter are top bass periods.
