Bob and Carol came from the Chicago area to enjoy the Iowa Great Lakes. Niether the weather or the fishing disappointed. Bob & Carol got limits of walleye both days they fished. Bob ended up with bragging rights by landing a hi-flying 19 3/4 inch smallmouth, just a 1/4 inch short of a Master Angler award. Besides the keeper fish we boated numerous slot fish. The bite remains the same; live bait behind a bottom bouncer in 14-17 feet.
Earlier in the week father and son Brian and Adam brought friend Silent Mike along for some walleye fishing. The trip was Adam’s reward for making the honor roll. All caught some great walleye and for Adam that was a first. Adam also had the big fish for the trip, a beautiful 21 1/2 inch walleye.
