About Fish Tales Taxidermy
I grew up spending a great deal of my time in the outdoors. Whether it be fishing for the large variety of fish species in both fresh and salt water or hunting big game. Because of that passion I started doing taxidermy over 14 years ago. Fish Tales Taxidermy is a fish only taxidermy studio. I find doing fish taxidermy more rewarding because your taking a dead fish or a reproduction and bringing it back to life, it's an art. I am always raising the bar and trying new techniques to help my work stand out from the rest. I use many different techniques, I use airbrushes and powders that are applied to each individual scale by paint brush to make the color on a fish have depth just like a live fish has when it is out of the water and its colors are reflecting in the sun, not the paint on look.
