John Roundsley and Buckley Smith weighed in 34.95 pounds of largemouth bass this past week to win the inaugural North American Bass Circuit's World Bass Championship.
Their 10-fish stringer, caught on Minnesota's Leech Lake, earned them $20,000 plus a $1,000 bonus, according to the Fishing Wire. In all, 25 teams weighed in more than 600 pounds of Bass, and Roundsley and Buckley edged out the second-place team by just over a tenth of a pound. Plans are already underway for next year. – Rick Bach
