America’s Largest Tuna Tournament Raises $185,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation

America's Largest Tuna Tournament Raises $185,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation by GoFISHn TeamThe Make-A-Wish Tuna Challenge claims to be the largest Tuna tournament in the Continental United States, and this year, hundreds of anglers came out to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation in San Diego.

All totaled, 373 fishermen on 83 boats participated in the events' 22nd running.

They raised $185,000, which, according to The Log, is enough to grant wishes to 26 sick children. Fishermen weighed in 30 bluefin tuna, 21 yellowtail and one dorado. One marlin was also released. Everything from boats to televisions were given away as prizes. The Make-A-Wish foundation helps terminally ill children. You can see the full final leaderboard standings here. And if you couldn't fish the tournament, but want to give, you can do so here. Thank you and congratulations to all the participants. – Rick Bach
