Florida Scientists Tag, Study Sawfish

Florida Scientists Tag, Study Sawfish by GoFISHn TeamThey're big, prehistoric-looking and mysterious; They're sawfish.

Florida scientists are trying to change that last part, at least a little bit.

Researchers at the University of Florida's Florida Program for Shark Research are satellite tagging the beast-like creatures around the Florida Keys to better understand their movements and behavior, according to Florida Sportsman.

Said George Burgess, an instrumental member of the study: "We hope our tagging will help us better understand seasonal horizontal and vertical movements of the critters." - Rick Bach

Another study in France revealed some interesting behavior of enormous wells catfish.
