There has been more controversy surrounding Greg Myerson's 81.88-pound striped bass than perhaps any other fish ever caught.
Well, the International Game Fish Association has put that controversy to rest, and, on Wednesday, officially approved Myerson's bass, caught in Connecticut in August, as the new All Tackle World Record.
The fish takes over for Al McReynold's famous striped bass, that help the record for nearly 30 years. McReynold's bass still claims the 20-pound test record.
Myerson has vowed to get back out after trophy striped bass, and believes there's bigger ones out there. We'll let you know if he catches one. –Brian McClintock
