The Most Spots We’ve Ever Seen on a Redfish

Not all trophy catches are enormous. This 19-inch redfish from Texas wasn't big enough to keep, but we've never seen one with so many spots.

redfish typically have a single spot on their tail, which serves as a false eye so that they're more capable of evading predators. It's not uncommon to see a fish with two or three spots, but one like this, which reportedly had dozens on both sides, are pretty rare.

Port Isabel guide Capt. Gencho Buitureira Jr. sent this photo into the site Texas Weekend Angler. Thanks. – Rick Bach

You won't believe the size of this slob trout from Tazmania.
