Aspiring Canadian Celebrity Fisherwoman Catches Huge Brown Trout on First Try

With luck like this, it shouldn't take Ashley Rae long to achieve her dream of making a living out of fishing. Rae has been fishing since she was 5 years old, and now competes in tournaments and belongs to clubs in her area near Lake Kashwakamak, Canada.

Her popularity has grown, and she even won a World Fishing Network dream fishing trip to Tobago by creating her own video for a contest. On a recent steelhead fishing trip to a Lake Ontario tributary, she got this beast of a surprise, a giant brown trout.

She reported in her blog that it's her first brown trout, and although they didn't have a scale or tape measure on hand, you don't need numbers to appreciate the massive size of this fish. Congratulations to Ms. Rae and we wish her similar luck in her future endeavors. – Rick Bach

Is this the biggest muskie ever caught in Illinois waters?
