We told you earlier this year about what was originally thought to be a giant rainbow trout, weighing 34.74 pounds, that was caught in Idaho's American Falls.
Record holders and biologists take a trout this big pretty seriously, so they did some testing to see if it was a pure strain rainbow.
Well, the jury is in and it turns out it's a hybrid between a rainbow trout and a cutthroat trout, according to the Idaho State Journal. Luckily for Mark Adams, who caught the fish, the hefty cutbow was enough to take down the IGFA All Tackle record. Congratulations, again. – Rick Bach
See which body of water might very well hold the state record walleye in Georgia.
