Alabama Rig Illegal on Indiana Lakes

Alabama Rig Illegal on Indiana Lakes by GoFISHn TeamThe Alabama Rig might be the biggest lure in bass fishing right now, but the controversial tactic is gaining some regulatory heat and now is illegal in some Indiana lakes.
The Alabama Rig is a set a five lures that are wired together to imitate an entire school of fish. The problem is that there are multiple hooks on the rig, which is against regulations in many lakes in Indiana, and most other states.

There is more confusion than anything in Indiana, where the rig is legal in large, Army Corps of Engineers Lakes, like Shelbyville, Rend and Carlyle, according to The State Journal-Register. But lures have to have a maximum of two hooks in other lakes.

So, while this is winning bass tournaments in a big way, be sure to check your regulations before tying one onto your line. –Brian McClintock
