Louisiana Parish Leaks Winner of World Fishing Network’s Ultimate Fishing Town

For the second year in a row, someone has let the cat out of the bag, and we know the winner of World Fishing Network‘s Ultimate Fishing Town ahead of their official June 6 release date, we think.

If the report from the Lafourche Parish DailyComet.com is to be believed, their local town of Cocodrie finished in fifth place, and it’s the town of Olcott Beach on the Lake Ontario shores, that has taken the top spot. If it’s true, this will be the second year in a row that a New York town has taken top honors (trout haven Roscoe, N.Y. won last year).

“We wanted to win it, but it’s a great thing for the community,” said Julie Pitre, owner of Cajun Bait, which sells live bait to anglers in Cocodrie.

Last year, it was a congressman who spilled the beans with an official release.

We’ll let you know when the official word comes down from WFN next week. -Brian McClintock
