It’s been a busy year for anglers on Lake Texoma.
In late April, Steve DeSomer was fishing on the famed Oklahoma lake when he landed a 20.4-pound striper that set the state record. He didn’t last on top long.
Michael Blomberg of Kingston was fishing Texoma on June 9 when he landed a 20.9-pounder, which is set to take the lake record. He was using live shad in the Sandy Beach area when the record bass hit. These are not the only two record fish caught this year on Texoma. The largemouth and spotted bass records have fallen the past 12 months.-Brian McClintock
