About Lake Chelan Adventures
I have been an avid fisherman for my whole life, and I've fished the rivers on the coast to inland lakes all over Washington State. I am a Professional Guide on Lake Chelan because it is simply one of the best waters in the world.
The word 'Chelan' is derived from the Indian phrase "Tsillan", meaning deep waters. It is here at Lake Chelan and in the nearby Columbia River where I have Fine Tuned my Expertise on Catching Laketrout, Chinook Salmon and Rufus Woods Triploid Rainbow trout.
Lake Chelan provides a multi-species fishery for Smallmouth Bass, Westslope Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Burbot, Laketrout(Mackinaw), Kokanee, and Chinook Salmon.
I also guide on Rufus Woods, the reservoir created by the Chief Joseph Dam on the Columbia River, designated Rufus Woods Lake in 1952, in honor of the editor/owner of the The Wenatchee World newspaper, who used his paper as a means of publicity for the cause of developing the Columbia River basin. Recreation at Chief Joseph Dam is centered around the Columbia River. Behind the dam is fifty-one mile long Rufus Woods Lake. Fishing, boating, camping and hiking are the most popular recreation activities.
