Charter Skipper Falls from Bridge, Dies in Jupiter Inlet

Charter Skipper Falls from Bridge, Dies in Jupiter Inlet by Mary Pinkowish

What a ghastly accident last Friday, Sept 3rd, in Jupiter Inlet, Fla. Experienced charter skipper Tom Henry, at the helm of his own 51-foot charter vessel Water Dog, got caught in some swells, apparently lost his footing, fell from the bridge, tried desperately to grab the gunwale (see photo, close to stern), but fell in anyway. He was rescued pretty quickly but died in the hospital this past Monday. A photographer who was shooting surfers at the same spot caught the entire tragic sequence, and you can view the 15-photo series at the New York Post web site. Condolences to Mr. Henry's family and friends. You never know….
