We fished today with Louie Costa and his friends ,Ivan, Marcelo, Antonio, Odiley and Mauricio Souza. The fishing has been slow lately, when I called Louie he was all for going fishing we decided to go due to the nice weather. Everyone onboard had the right attitude they were out to have a great day no matter what happened. We were off to a slow start and didn’t have any bites early. The winds were light and the water temp was 51.2 degrees not real clean. We got up around Seaside and decided to start trolling. A friend was just outside us and he called and said he had a few bites we went a little deeper and had our 1st bite at 9:15 am. We did drop the first 4 fish we had on and worked out a few things then started landing a few . These fish were bigger than we have seen so far this year. The first was about 25 lbs then the next one was fat and measured 45” fish aprox 36 lbs. Very nice quality fish. We landed another about 32 lbs . The area we were fishing seemed to slow down a bit we moved in and south then had a double header and landed both of them all but 1 of our bites came on White Spoons. This was a nice way to finish up the day. The fish we caught had dropped their eggs definitely a new body of fish . Things should go back to an improving trend for us. The northern boats did pretty well and they had the size fish we were catching a few weeks back. The bait and fish should go on the move with the next moon and we should see some more fish move in. We finished with 5 fish and dropped 4 today , more action than we expected. This was a fun bunch of guys thanks again !
