as soon as there is 4 to 6 inches of ice on the lake...(lol)

Some northern lakes have about two inches of ice on them. Normally, by this time of year, we are ice-fishing. Because of the warmer weather, the ice will be ready state wide in two weeks. It's now getting cold!

Not exactly sure, but I'd imagine you'd need to have some thick ice on the lakes before you could go ice fishing. I bet ice fishing's started on some lakes in northern MN.
