Season
-From October 6th - Late May I guide New York's Salmon River area.Early to Mid October is Salmon Season which eases into Steelhead and Brown Trout in the end of October. The Steelhead fishing will be peak from October to mid December. Although the fishing remains good throughout the winter, the conditions can make angling challenging. The Brown Trout will also peak this same time period and slowly drop back to the Lake by January. Some spawned out Browns will stick around in the river as late as May. Starting in March the weather begins changing for the better but is never a guarantee. This is when we start seeing new batches of Steelhead entering the Salmon River and the fishing will remain prime again until mid to late May. -From June to October 5th I will be guideing at the Royal Coachman Lodge in Alaska

Transportation/Boats
All wade trips -don't let this scare you if you are not a hiker, wader, or have a dissability. We have many rivers and tributaries in the area which are easy wading and easily accessable. Pictured is a private stretch of the Salmon River where we will meet every morning. You can literally drive up and fish this prime stretch of river. We have access to many private stretches of water we fish throughout the region. Not being in a boat allows us to be mobile and fish different waters in a day.

Equipment
I will provide all tackle for the day but feel free to bring your favorite rod/reel, flies or any other tackle you may want to try. You will need polarized glasses (preferably amber lenses, dark lenses do not work well in the rivers as they do in open oceans or lakes), rain gear, camera, a change of clothes, and dress accordingly for the particular time of year. I do not provide waders - if you don't have any you can rent them at any of the local tackle shopsLunches are not included - However for an extra $10 per person I can provide sandwiches, soup, coffe, and drinks courtesy of The Riverhouse Restaraunt and have lunch riverside.
